SEGA MACHINE FOR NOVEMBER RELEASE IN JAPAN Japan will have Sega’s new 128-bit console in November 1998. The U.K however will have to wait until Septemeber 1999 at the earliest. The reason for this is due to the time it takes to adapt the system to play on a British format. An additional, but not so hot, reason is that Sega of Japan don’t expect that western players will buy the machine solely on the strength of Virtua Fighter 3.

SEGA
SPEND
$100
MILLION
TO
LAUNCH
NEW
MACHINE
Sega of America have announced that they plan to spend $100 million to launch the new console in the US. This figure is 25 times bigger than that used to launch the Playstation in Europe. I am hoping Sega won’t need to waste money on marketing because the system should be awesome. TOP SELLING GAME IN JAPAN THIS WEEK
